These are a few of my favorite strings …
The mellifluous sounds of violin, viola and bass drifted through the music rooms at Βι¶ΉΣ°ΤΊ on Wednesday as City School District of Βι¶ΉΣ°ΤΊ orchestral students in the Summer Arts Program honed their musical skills – and their confidence.
Led by maestros Tony Berman (strings teacher at Βι¶ΉΣ°ΤΊ High) and Cameron Newman (strings teacher at Hackett), the orchestra portion of the Summer Arts Program is open to students in grades 4-12 who play a range of string instruments.
Βι¶ΉΣ°ΤΊ 30 students get individual and group lessons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the program, which runs through the end of next week.
